Will Hall hosts interview on life after a “guilty except for insanity” plea

Will Hall, host of Madness Radio on KBOO 90.7 FM in Portland, Oregon and a board member of the Mental Health Association of Portland, hosted the “Talk Radio” hour on KBOO Friday, December 23. 

Hall’s guest protects his identity on the show with the pseudonym Emmanuel Goldstein, is a former Oregon State Hospital patient now living in the community under the Psychiatric Security Review Board (PSRB) after taking the “guilty except for insanity” plea. The show discusses how the antiquated PSRB system needs to be reformed.

Host Will Hall was diagnosed with schizoaffective schizophrenia and works as an advocate, counselor, and educator internationally. Will is co-founder of Freedom Center, one the co-coordinators of The Icarus Project, and director of Portland Hearing Voices, as well as being one of the original organizers that got Valley Free Radio started.
