Thank you for posting this. Brian Buss was my uncle by marriage, and it is nice to finally see some notices of his death circumstances show up on the internet. It was national news at the time, and the clip of his appearance in One Who Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest was used in various tv news reports. He was a very intelligent and kind man, in my childhood experience, a photographer, and a very talented pianist.
Hi Mindy, I think you you two and of the terrible thing that happened to Brian.
I was married to Arie DeWilde, he remolded your house and Brian’s office. Prayers for you as you carry on.
Cheryl (DeWilde) Buchanan
Brian was our program psychiatrist at Marion County Day Treatment. I remember the day he died and how horrible we all felt for him and you. I was a mental health therapist and remember his memorial service in Salem. I drive by the county building almost daily and I often think of Brian. I am sorry you lost him and that he missed experiencing a full life with lots of milestones. He was a wonderful man and skilled psychiatrist as you know. hope you were able to love and live again after his tragic killing.

Not aware that Brian had a niece named Angela, I am his widow.
