Help on the way for mentally ill

From The Oregonian, May 16 1986.

Here longtime Oregonian editor Larry Hilderbrand carries water with the biggest lie in mental health, “things are getting better.” He mentions psychiatrist Michael McCulloch (misspelled by Hildebrand), who was murdered by his patient John Eaton, Tom Graves, a person with a long history within the community mental health system killed by Portland police officers in 1985, and Roberta Tate, an 86 year old North Portland resident and bystander shot by the Portland Police Bureau by accident instead of Graves.
